Just over a week ago my parents went to the Japanese Embassy in London for a screening of a film called Star Sand.
Roger Pulvers (the writer and director of the film) is a long-time mentor to one of my friends in Japan and – through the friend and me – my father made contact with Pulvers, leading to the invitation to watch the film. I was invited too and would have liked to go but I was working.
Both of my parents said the film was great, and I look forward to seeing it myself. You can find out more about it here: star-sand.com.
While they were at the Embassy my parents saw an exhibition and took away this leaflet about it, because they knew I would be interested.

This entry has very little Japanese in it; we will return to language in the next one!
